--Mr. Bean is the I/B Coordinator at Whittier and teaches 10th grade English. He received a B.A. in urban studies and language arts and a Master of Education from Marygrove, where he was a Shell Urban Scholar. He is certified in the areas of learning styles, multiple intelligences, and brain-based education. Mr. Bean co-authored Freedom Now: A Civil Rights Text from the Peoples' Perspective, published by The American Social History Project and The Southern Poverty Law Center.Blakley, Sarah--sblakley@flintschools.org

After being a secretary in Flint schools for more than 20 years, she came to Whittier when it became the Classical Academy in August 2006.
